These guys have been around for years, in fact if you are on a mailing list, you’ll have received many
sales letters from them promoting their next big thing!

So how did Andrew Reynolds, Tim Lowe, Stuart Goldsmith and David Anderson get rich … and continue to increase their wealth?

Well we need to go back a good few years to look at how it all began for them.

Their method is a classic one, that has been around for many years … and is still being used very successfully everyday in the UK and abroad.

The Basic Method

Back in the late 1990’s (before the internet) direct mail and press advertising was the only way in which you could promote a business opportunity and make money.

Done right and the rewards were fantastic … as Andrew Reynolds, Tim Lowe, Stuart Goldsmith and David Anderson have found out.

What these and many other business opportunity promoters did (Streetwise Marketing are another) was to start with a reasonably priced product - usually a manual or video- DVD in Andrew Reynolds and Tim Lowe’s case.

These product were priced between £39.97 and £47.97 - the price was set fairly low to attract as many buyers as possible.

So from the period of the late 1990’s to well into the new century Andrew Reynolds, Time Lowe, Stuart Goldsmith and David Anderson would mail out their sales literature to thousands upon thousands of people who were on business opportunity type mailing lists.

They built huge customer list very quickly which could then be used to sell more products.

Back then printing and postage was much cheaper than it is now, and with no internet supplying free information, people bought their products like mad.

I even got involved in the whole industry myself, and response rates where fantastic. I would mail out 10,000 sales items of a product priced at £47.00 and receive well over 4% response rate. I then invested the profits and continued the process … much like Andrew, Tim, Stuart and David.

From their first product, they all built huge customer lists of people eager to buy more products.

So what they then did was bombard their customers with much more expensive products - usually between £200 and £600.

These mailings were far more targeted than for their first product. With overall direct mailing costs vastly reduced, they could make a great deal of money from low response rates.

Now all customers who went on to buy the second product priced at between £200 and £600 would then go onto Andrew, Tim, Stuart and David’s ‘golden list’ of customers.

These customers would then receive details of even more expensive products - usually one-to-one meetings, seminars and DVD sets priced from £997 to £4,997.

Let’s say for example that Andrew had 20,000 customers who bought his first product, then from those, 4,000 bought his second product, and then from those 4,000 customers, 200 people paid £4,997 for a seminar.

Andrew would have grossed millions … which he and the others did for many years.

So What Are They Doing Now?

They all continued with their successful system right up to the present day. Andrew now uses his Cash on Demand
product to attract thousands of new customers from direct mail, internet and now the daddy of them all …TV.

Up till now, it seemed as if certain real estate markets would come through the real estate market crash unscathed. Home prices in these areas continued to rise and sales were happening rather quickly. However, there are now signs that even hot markets like the one in Provo, Utah are not immune to the market crash. Homes in these areas that would have been snatched up a short while ago are now sitting on the market with no buyers in sight.

In 2006, home values started decreasing in most markets. But not all markets were cooling. Provo, for example, experienced a 14% hike in home values within a short period of time while other markets were tanking.

Homeowners who lived in these hot market zones realized the full effects of the crash when they tried to sell their homes. Homes that usually sold within a few weeks in the past were sitting for months. It did not take long for sellers to realize that they had to do something drastic to attract buyers. So they started slashing their prices and offering discounts to buyers who would buy their home without an agent. This cut back on the commission fees that sellers had to pay and they could pass this savings to the buyer.

The message that these communities learned is one that we should all pay attention to. No market is immune to the housing bust. Even in markets where prices are continuing to rise, the appreciation is not as robust as it has been in the past. These markets are in the beginning cooling stages. Strict loan restrictions are not doing anything to help sellers sell their properties either.

Surprisingly, the economy in many of these areas has remained strong. This only points to the fact that the housing market and the local economy are not always intertwined.

Another once hot market that appears to be cooling is Seattle. In the Seattle market, prices are not rising as quickly as they once did. Homes are also sitting on the market longer than they used to. Foreclosure rates are on the rise as well.

Experts are still predicting that Seattle should be able to carry on through the crash. Apartment values in the city remain quite strong. Inventory is high, but sales volumes are keeping pace.

Not only has Seattle been able to hold on, the state of Washington as a whole has been able to do relatively well. Why? The state adopted the Growth Management Act which limited the amount of construction projects in the state. Other states were building at a much too rapid rate which has left many new properties empty.

This Act was an extreme plus for Seattle and Washington State. Other states were not so fortunate. New construction projects were left half finished or finished and empty. This resulted in a large number of defaulted construction loans.

The old European towns of Nuremberg, Bratislava, and Budapest - and many others - host old-fashioned Christmas markets to celebrate the season.

Many of our Christmas celebrations are grounded in the traditions of some of our European ancestors. Nutcrackers, mulled wine - even our Christmas trees - are all European traditions.

The Christmas markets of Europe are a walk back in time, to the narrow streets many of our great-grandparents wandered. The foods, crafts, and gifts available there are reminiscent of those our great-grandparents would have enjoyed.

Many of the markets have been held annually for centuries (the oldest, in Dresden, began in the 1400’s!). The markets were traditionally located in the town square, often near the church - the intention was to attract buyers after church services, but some clergymen complained that the markets were so popular, parishioners skipped services to shop!

Some markets were started much more recently, but all are unique - only local vendors are allowed to sell their wares, so each market promotes the foods and crafts of the area.

These markets are unabashedly Christmas - celebrating both the Christian tradition and the secular, “Santa/Kris Kringle” tradition. These markets may be open only a few days, but most are open for weeks, generally during the entire Advent season. They are a cacophony of sights, sounds, and smells of the season. Christmas music mingles with the smells of roasting chestnuts, mulled wine, and gingerbread, while each stall offers colorful wooden toys, blown glass ornaments, painted nutcrackers, knitted woolen socks and mittens, and many, many, more holiday treats and gifts! It would be hard not to get caught up in the spirit of the holiday!

How do you find these markets?

There are land tours that visit Europe during the holiday season (generally from late November to Christmas), as well as river cruises that tour several cities.

Globus has Christmastime land tours of Bavaria, Alsace, Munich, or Eastern Europe. Each of these tours visits at least 3 cities, each of which has it’s own Christmas Market. They also include tours of churches and cathedrals, Christmas concerts, and much more.

Collette Vacations has an Alpine Christmas tour that allows you to stay in Innsbruck, with day trips to markets in Munich and Salzburg for shopping.

But the best way to enjoy the markets is on a river cruise Virtually all river cruise lines offer Holiday Market cruises and each cruise visits at least 4 or 5 towns (if not more!).

And when you’re not shopping the markets or exploring the town, you’ll be relaxing in a comfortable river cruise ship, watching the world go by as you sip hot chocolate in the lounge or your cabin - much better than the seat of a bus!

Since towns and villages have always been located on a river or other waterway, the river cruise ships can take you right to the heart of town. You get off the ship, and start exploring! No need to travel from a hotel on the outskirts to the heart of the city; no need to pack and unpack every day, either - your “hotel” travels with you, so there’s more time for enjoying the sights.

And there are many rivers in Europe, and many areas to explore. Cruises along the Danube will take you to Nuremberg, Vienna, and Budapest. (This is the most common route, and is offered by
Viking, Uniworld, Avalon, and Amadeus).

The Rhine river takes you to Cologne, Heidelberg, and Strasbourg, and is available from Uniworld.

Amadeus Waterways has a Holiday cruise that starts with a few days in Paris, then travels the Moselle River in France, and joins the upper Rhine, visiting Frankfurt and Dusseldorf before ending in Amsterdam.

No matter which river you cruise, or which land tour you choose, exploring the Christmas Markets of Europe is an experience not to be missed!

And since there are so many markets and so many ways of visiting them - you can try something different every year!
